In M.D. Confidential, Dr. Lawrence Matrick explores the topic of mental illness and how it is perceived in society. Our mental health is just as important as our physical well-being; so why, then, don’t we want to talk about it? Why is it kept so very “hush-hush”? Join local author Dr. Lawrence Matrick and North Vancouver RCMP Sergeant Bryan Fedirchuk for a talk on motor vehicle collision prevention and what to do if you are involved in a collision.

Collisions are just that, collisions —and they happen when we least expect them. Dr. Matrick, an experienced psychiatrist and local author, guides you through the necessary steps and actions that one should take following a motor vehicle collision. He will give assistance with doctor, lawyer and insurance forms as well as tips on sleeping disorders, anxieties, and relationship changes that can arise after a collision.

North Vancouver RCMP Sgt. Bryan Fedirchuk will speak about driver distraction and collision prevention.

I will have the privilege of speaking to Kiwanis at the Westerleigh Centre, 725 22nd Street, West Vancouver (map below), on June 6 at 9:30 am, to discuss my book Road to Recovery: Following your Motor Vehicle Accident.

On May 18, I spoke to the Gyro Club of Vancouver, BC about what to do in the aftermath of a motor vehicle accident. I would like to thank the members for their hospitality.
